Binocular Colposcope KN-2200BⅠ (Xuzhou Kernel Medical Equipment, China) combines binocular optics and a digital camera: the doctor examines the cervix through the eyepieces while the camera records images for archiving to compare during subsequent examinations. The colposcope is necessary for magnified examination of the vagina, cervix, and external genitalia, as well as for selecting a site for biopsy; it is operated by trained specialists and is not intended for home use.
