Components for X-ray machines
Components for X-ray machines are the equipment that gets an image to the doctor and the patient: film processors, printers for digital images and sensors for dental radiography. The Finer section lists equipment from PROTEC of Germany and Xline Imaging, plus a dry film printer for DICOM images.
What are X-ray machine components used for?
Even after going digital, many facilities still need to print images on film. Patients take an image home, it goes into the archive, or it travels with a referral to another hospital. That is why a printer or film processor often stands next to the X-ray unit. Where film-based X-ray units are still in use, a film processor is required. Without it, no image. Dentistry has a different task: a digital intraoral sensor replaces film in the patient's mouth, and the image appears on the computer within seconds.
Which components are in the Finer catalog?
The film processor comes from PROTEC of Germany: the OPTIMAX X-ray film processor, whose description lists sheet and roll film. For digital images there is the KND6320 laser thermal printer, which prints DICOM images without chemicals or a darkroom. Dental practices can use the XDI-401/XDI-402 digital sensor from Xline Imaging. These are intraoral CMOS sensors with a resolution of 20 lp/mm.
How do you choose components for an X-ray machine?
For a film processor, compare film formats and throughput. Then look at developer and fixer consumption and at the water supply and drain it needs. Wet processing requires a darkroom or a daylight-loading model. Check a printer for DICOM compatibility with your units and PACS, and for film formats and type. Dry film is in the Consumables section. A sensor is chosen by size for children's and adults' images and by compatibility with the dental unit and viewing software. All of this is easier to settle before the purchase than to solve later with adapters.
Where to buy components for X-ray machines?
Finer Ukraine LLC has been in the medical technology market since 2015 and quotes components in a commercial proposal together with the main unit or separately. Tell us what equipment you already run so we can take it into account when selecting. We then deliver and connect the equipment and train your staff, and for public procurement we prepare tender documents. The X-ray units themselves are in the X-ray machines section, and for imaging outside the X-ray room there are portable X-ray machines. We take requests for components at 0 800 334 585 and through the contacts page.
FAQ
1. What is a radiovisiograph?
That is what dentists call a digital dental radiography system. An intraoral sensor such as the XDI-401/XDI-402 goes into the patient's mouth instead of film, the dental unit takes the exposure, and the image appears on the computer within seconds. No film processing or chemicals are needed.
2. What is a dry film printer?
It is a medical printer that prints X-ray images on special film using heat, with no developer, fixer or darkroom. The KND6320 accepts DICOM images, so it connects to digital X-ray units or to the facility's PACS.
3. Which film does the OPTIMAX processor handle?
According to its product card, the OPTIMAX from PROTEC processes sheet and roll film. Before buying, check the film formats your X-ray unit uses and prepare the water supply and drain for wet processing.
4. Where can you get film for a dry printer?
Dry printing film is in the Consumables section. The film type and format must match the printer, so when ordering, give the printer model, for example KND6320, and the image formats you print most often.
5. Does the section include X-ray tubes?
There are no separate X-ray tubes in the section at the moment. The tube is part of the X-ray unit together with the generator, and its specifications, such as focal spot size, are compared when choosing the unit itself in the X-ray machines section.
