For transportation
A medical stretcher is needed wherever the patient cannot walk: an emergency patient going to X-ray, a ward patient on the way to the OR and back, an ICU patient heading for CT. It decides whether two nurses can move and transfer a patient without lifting them by hand. The For transportation section has stretchers for lying patients and transport trolleys with a radiolucent top. There is also a transfer system for the sterile zone, a medication cart and equipment for the pathology department. Brands include Nitrocare and Stryker, plus Tiscomed.
Which medical stretchers does the Finer catalog offer?
For the emergency department there is the Nitrocare NTCR-SD09 emergency stretcher with 4 sections and the NTCR SD 13 transport stretcher with hydraulic Trendelenburg and gas springs. The range also includes the multifunction TAMS 9500 and the three-section TASS 1200. The St1 Series stretcher has a two-level radiolucent HPL top, so images can be taken without moving the patient.
The operating suite can use the NTCR SD06 transfer stretcher. It has two trolleys, and one of them stays in the sterile zone, so corridor wheels never roll in. The Transport Stretcher has a slide-out device and fold-down rails. For ward rounds and the treatment room there is the TCDE 1515 medication cart. The pathology department gets the TOMU 6280 covered body trolley, the TOMU 6200 body lift and the electric TOMU 6211.
How to choose a stretcher for a hospital?
Start with the route. Measure the doors and lift cars, and the tightest corridor turns, because a model that does not fit in the lift just sits idle. Next come sections and positions: backrest raise, foot end, Trendelenburg for the emergency department and ICU. Hydraulics or gas springs bring the top level with a bed, a table or a scanner, so the patient is slid across, not lifted.
Look at the wheels and brakes: wheel diameter, a central brake, a straight-line lock for long corridors. Side rails and corner bumpers keep the patient safe, as do holders for an IV pole and an oxygen cylinder. Surfaces should stand daily disinfection, and a mattress without seams is the better choice. If patients are often imaged on the stretcher itself, you need a radiolucent top like the one on the St1 Series.
Where to buy a medical stretcher?
Finer Ukraine LLC has been fitting out hospital departments since 2015, and the team includes doctors and engineers who know how a patient travels between admission and the OR. Tell us where patients will be taken from and to, and whether images will be taken without a transfer. We will pick the model and prepare a commercial proposal and tender documents. Then we deliver and set up the stretchers and show staff how to work the hydraulics and brakes. Stretchers are often ordered together with operating tables; other furniture for departments is in Medical furniture. To equip a department or a whole hospital, see our turnkey solutions. FAQ
1. What is a medical stretcher properly called?
Catalogs and tenders use several names: medical stretcher, transport trolley, patient transport stretcher. A transfer stretcher such as the NTCR SD06 is a separate type, as is an imaging stretcher with a radiolucent top such as the St1 Series.
2. Which stretcher suits transporting bedridden patients?
For moves between departments, hospitals take a sectional stretcher with rails and a central brake, for example the 4-section Nitrocare NTCR-SD09 or the TASS 1200. If the emergency department needs Trendelenburg, look at the hydraulic NTCR SD 13.
3. Why does a stretcher need height adjustment?
So the top can be raised level with a bed, an operating table or a scanner table. Then the patient is slid across instead of being lifted by hand. Height is set with hydraulics or gas springs, as on the NTCR SD 13.
4. What size is a medical stretcher?
Deck length and width, like deck height, differ by model and are listed on each product card. What matters more is checking them against your route before ordering: door widths, the lift car, the tightest corridor turns.
5. Medical stretcher price: what does it depend on?
Cost goes up with the number of sections and with hydraulics, a radiolucent top, a transfer system and accessories. Some models have a price on the website; for others we prepare a commercial proposal.
