BiClamp – for open surgery (ligating)

BiClamp from Erbe Elektromedizin — a range of bipolar clamps for sealing vessels and tissue structures in open surgery. All are reusable. There is no need to isolate each vessel separately. Clips and sutures are mostly unnecessary. The instruments work with the electrosurgical device Erbe VIO in the BiClamp: mode, where the generator responds to changes in tissue impedance, continuously adjusting power and using the AUTO-STOP function to turn off the current when sealing is complete.

Features

• Seals vessels up to 7 mm in diameter and vascularized tissue (depending on the instrument model).
• The surgeon controls the compression force, and the design of the jaws prevents exceeding the maximum.
• Minimal smoke during sealing; the sealing zone is visible to the eye, and it is cut in the middle.
• Principle of “plug and play”: the device VIO recognizes the connected instrument and automatically sets the parameters.
• BiClamp 150 C (150 mm, 23°) with ceramic insulation jaws for thyroidectomy.
• BiClamp 201 T (200 mm, 18°) with “cooled” jaws for vaginal hysterectomy; BiClamp 280 (280 mm, 25°) for urological surgeries, including cystectomy.
• Other shapes: 260 C (260 mm, 18°), 271 T (270 mm, 18°), 210 (210 mm, 25°, wavy working surface).

Erbe applies BiClamp in general and visceral surgery, gynecology, and urology: surgeries on the intestine and stomach, abdominal hysterectomy, prostatectomy, pediatric surgery.
