Argon plasma coagulator APC 2

Argon Plasma Coagulator APC 2 (Erbe Elektromedizin) is an argon delivery module that, together with the Erbe VIO device, performs argon plasma coagulation: the voltage ionizes argon, and the current reaches the tissue through the plasma. The tip of the instrument does not touch the tissue and does not adhere. This is a monopolar technique for surface hemostasis, devitalization, and ablation over a large area of bleeding.

• Depth of effect is approximately 2–3 mm under typical settings.
• Distance from the applicator to the tissue is about 5–15 mm, with results visible immediately.

• The reducer with a sensor regulates argon delivery.
