Defibrillator Rescue SAM

Defibrillator Rescue SAM — an automatic external defibrillator (AED) from the Italian company Progetti, designed according to the guidelines of ERC 2025.. It detects ventricular fibrillation and rapid ventricular tachycardia and indicates when a shock is needed; the button is pressed by a person. Voice prompts and colour indicators guide step by step, making it manageable even for an untrained rescuer.

• Biphasic pulse BTE with impedance compensation; 200 J for adults, 50 J for children with optional paediatric electrodes.
• Rhythm analysis in about 6 seconds, charging in less than 8 seconds with a new battery.
• In the semi-automatic version, the charge is discharged if SHOCK is not pressed within 15 seconds.
• Self-tests at each power-up and on a schedule.
• Battery LiMnO₂ 12 V, 4200 mAh: 200 shocks or 4 hours of operation.
• Memory for 8 sessions of 60 minutes, readout via USB.
