The pulse oximeter G1B is suitable for adult patients, children, and newborns, making it appropriate for mixed-profile departments. The device provides measurements of SpO₂ concentration and pulse rate in either spot-check mode or continuous mode: the former is suitable for one-time checks during rounds, while the latter is for prolonged monitoring of patients in unstable conditions. Its compact and very lightweight design allows the device to be kept in a lab coat pocket without burdening the patient during extended monitoring.
