Video Endoscopy
A video endoscopy system is a processor with a light source and a monitor, and flexible video endoscopes such as gastroscopes, colonoscopes or bronchoscopes plug into it. Unlike fiberoptic endoscopy, the image comes from a sensor at the tip of the scope, and the doctor works from a large screen instead of an eyepiece. The image can be zoomed and recorded, added to the procedure report and, when needed, shown to colleagues at a case review.
Which video endoscopy systems does Finer offer?
The section has Aohua video endoscopy systems. The AQ-120 video endoscopy system delivers Full HD 1080p. The AQ-150 Pro runs at 4K resolution, so fine mucosal detail and vessel patterns are easier to see on a large monitor. The difference between them is mainly image quality, so the choice depends on how closely the department assesses the mucosa and whether it does targeted diagnostics.
How to choose a video endoscopy system?
First, compatibility. The processor and scopes must be compatible, so departments usually keep the fleet within one manufacturer's line, and if the room already has a video endoscope, start from it. Second, the image: resolution and digital image enhancement modes, plus a medical-grade monitor. Third, documentation. Check video and still capture and report generation, as well as transfer to the hospital information system or PACS, so that nobody has to assemble the procedure report by hand.
What does scope reprocessing and repair require?
After every patient a scope goes through cleaning and high-level disinfection, so plan for a washer-disinfector or a manual line plus a drying cabinet. The MKED 6500 endoscope cabinet with drying is in the components section. Think about repairs separately: a damaged channel or sheath can take a scope out of service for weeks, so agree on a loaner and repair times up front. The number of scopes is worked out from patient flow and the reprocessing time between procedures.

FAQ
1. What is a video gastroscope used for?
A video gastroscope is used to examine the esophagus and stomach as well as the duodenum. It is a flexible endoscope with a sensor at the tip that connects to the processor of a video endoscopy system. The doctor sees the mucosa on a monitor and can zoom in, record video or a still and attach them to the report.
2. How does video gastroscopy differ from conventional fiberoptic gastroscopy?
In a classic fiberoptic gastroscope the image travels through optical fibers to an eyepiece the doctor looks into. In a video gastroscope a sensor at the tip forms the image, and the doctor works from a monitor. Video and fiberoptic colonoscopy differ in the same way: the difference is in how the image is captured.
3. What is video colonoscopy?
It is an examination of the colon with a flexible video colonoscope connected to a video endoscopy system. The sensor's image is shown on the monitor, where it can be zoomed and recorded. The colonoscope has to be compatible with the processor, so it goes into the commercial proposal together with the system.
4. Can a video endoscopy system be used for bronchoscopy?
Yes, if a compatible video bronchoscope is available for the processor. The system works with flexible gastroscopes and colonoscopes as well as bronchoscopes, which are usually taken from one manufacturer's line. We confirm the list of scopes for your procedures together with the quote.
5. How much does an endoscopy tower cost?
The price depends on the processor and resolution (Full HD as on the AQ-120, or 4K as on the AQ-150 Pro), on the number and types of scopes, on the monitor and on the documentation modules. Reprocessing equipment is priced separately. We give the figure in a quote for your department.
